Mrs Simmons recently bought a three bedroom house with her daughter and moved in last November. Having moved house a lot over the last few years, she is thrilled to now be in her ‘forever home’.
“I knew as soon as we looked around the house I would want to put a conservatory on the back,” Mrs Simmons told us.
“I just love everything about conservatories but for the last 15 years I haven’t been able to have one,” she explained. “In my last property I was very restricted as to what I could do; I moved house so that I can have what I want. My new conservatory is 100% fantastic – when I’m in there it’s lovely and relaxing looking out onto the garden. I’m a really keen gardener and it’s wonderful to have access straight out into the garden from the conservatory.”
It was important to Mrs Simmons and her daughter that they are able to use the conservatory all year round.
“We like having the extra space, particularly when one of us has a friend round and we want to talk more privately – we can escape to the conservatory,” described Mrs Simmons. “With sofas and a coffee table, it’s another lounge area.”
Although the structure has no heating, Mrs Simmons told us her conservatory was warm in winter thanks to the half brick construction and innovative glass roof system.
